Corrections policy
We try hard to get things right, and we fix mistakes quickly when we don't.
How to report a mistake
Use our contact page or email [email protected]. Tell us the page address and what is wrong. We aim to reply within five working days.
What we do
- Factual errors, such as a wrong date, price or name, are corrected as soon as they are confirmed, and the article's updated date changes.
- Where a correction changes the meaning of advice, we add a short note at the end of the article saying what changed and when.
- Typos and small wording changes are fixed without a note.
Fact-checking
Dates, prices and official rules are checked against primary sources: Royal Mail for posting dates, GOV.UK for bank holidays and tax rules, and the retailer for prices at the time of writing. Prices can change after publication.
