Independence

Our writers recommend products and ideas because they suit the reader, not because a brand asked. We do not accept payment to include a product in a gift guide without labelling it as sponsored.

Gifts and samples

If a brand sends us a product to try, we say so in the article. Receiving a sample never guarantees coverage or a positive mention.

Conflicts of interest

Writers do not cover businesses they own, work for or have a financial stake in. If a link to a writer is unavoidable, we disclose it in the article.

Sensitive subjects

Sympathy and illness messages are written with care: no jokes, no pressure, and practical support where it helps.
